Summer almost over

As astounding as it seems to me, I will be back at school next week Wednesday.  In-service will be Monday the 14th and children will return to school the 17th.  Where did the summer go?

This summer we didn’t have a Harry Potter book release to look forward to or an Eragon/Eldest book so it was disappointing in that sense but I did enjoy reading Wright 3 by Blue Balliot.  I truly enjoy her writing style and got hooked when I read her first book, Chasing Vermeer.  The stories engage the reader by weaving hidden pictures into the illustrations (by Brett Helquist) and using pentaminoes to help solve the mysteries.

This Fall I will be encouraging my more avid library patrons to add this author to their list of “must reads”.

There, think that’ll boost your search engine hits?

Moving right along, still, I understand Blue Balliot’s a good writer, so it’s nice you had some good stuf to read this summer. Besides textbooks, that is. :-)
